The moderately difficult hike begins at the fire station in the hamlet of Spiluck (1,325 m), in the Schalderer Tal Valley. Follow the access road to the Gasthof Ortner Inn (rest stop) and take trail no. 2/A on a partially easy path through a wooded slope along a well-designed route up to the top of the Scheibenberg (1,925 m).

This is time for a well-earned rest stop with a fantastic view of the mountains. Continue along trail no. 2/A through the woods on the flat summit of the Scheibenberg towards the northern face, then descend to the west down to the Spilucker Scharte ridge (1,818 m). The trail leads slightly uphill through the high forest to the Zirmaitalm mountain hut (1,891 m).

The way back is to the east on trail no. 2, down to the Spilucker Bach brook and Steinwiesalm mountain hut. Follow the forest track to the Gostner Inn (1,380 m, rest stop) and the Höfestraße farms road back to the starting point.

There are two ways to start this hike: preferably from the parking area just before the Fane Alm (1,735 m). Otherwise, lower down from the Kurzkofelhütte mountain hut (1,422 m), which adds another hour to the ascent.From the Fane parking area (1,735 m) the forest track soon leads to the Almdorf cluster of huts (an old-style mountain village with log-cabins) on the Fane Alm (1,739 m). Trail no. 17 leads through the Schramme gorge towards the valley. Just after passing the gorge to the left, follow trail no. 18 along the Seebach brook and past the Labesebenalm mountain hut (2,138 m) to the head of the valley. Head north on a wide curve to reach the Wilde See lake (2,532 m). At the lake outflow, continue along trail no. 18 on the steep incline up to the Rauhtaljoch ridge (2,807 m) to the right of the slope. From the ridge, proceed on trail no. 18 (or if necessary, following the visible snow tracks) as it winds its way across the southern slope to a sloped terrace before turning left at the ridge to the summit of the Wilde Kreuzspitze (3,132 m). At the summit, take a rest before returning back to the Rauhtaljoch ridge. From there turn left across a moraine scree (possibly still covered in snow) in a northerly direction. The descent is more difficult as it crosses steep, rugged terrain before reaching the fields of the high valley. The trail finally turns east to the Brixner Hütte mountain hut (2,282 m).The descent is on trail no. 17, through the gorge to the Fane Alm and back to the parking area.

Starting from the Zumis car park in Rodeneck/ROdengo, seven art works placed along the Confinweg trail on the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alp reproduce the biblical sequence of the 7 days of the Creation.

Family-friendly route. Not suited for baby buggy.

Walking time: approx. one hour

The starting point is the car park Zans (1680 m). From Treffpunkt Zans hut follow the indications to Pension Sass Rigais and Zanser Schwaige hut. The trail leads along “Piuswiese” meadow and through the woods to a big wodden bridge. Follow the trail throug the game reserve, past a lime kiln, and then to “Kelderer Wiese” hut. Eventually, pass the AVS hut and follow the last part of the Nature Trail back to the car park.

From the park, take trail no. 6 through Mair in Plun and the Pfroder Alm until you get to the Totenkirch Church. From here, stay on trail 6 in the direction of the Schwarzsee Lake and Moar in Ums where aou switch to trail 16B, which takes you to Prackfiederer Jöchl. Take trail 16 and then 16B past the Marzuner Schupfe. Trail no. 15 takes you back to Mair in Plun, where you switch almost immediately to trail 23. This takes you to the Rinderplatz mountain refuge hut. Follow trails 23 and 24 back to the Gasser mountain refuge hut.

The start of this challenging hike is at the mountain station of the Plose gondola lift in Kreuztal/Valcroce (2,050 m). The gondola lift brings hikers from St. Andrä/S. Andrea to the Plose above Brixen and is open from mid-May to the end of October. Follow trail no. 7/30 from the mountain station of the gondola lift to the top of the forest line and turn right onto trail no. 7. Continue along a clearly defined trail and across the slopes to the Schönjöchl ridge (2,250 m) before arriving at the Plosehütte mountain shelter (2,446 m). From there, follow trail no. 6 north past some buildings, to the first summit of the tour. The Telegraph (2,486 m) has a broad, flat summit and panoramic views.  

Return to Plosehütte and follow trail no. 7 down a slight incline along the ridge in an easterly direction to the Lüsner Scharte ridge (2,371 m). Follow the safety fence on the via ferrata along trail no. 7 to the Große Pfannspitze peak (2,545 m), which is the second summit of the tour. Continue eastwards along the top of the ridge up to the Kleine Gabler, the trail either crosses over the peak or turns right onto the ridge for the short ascent to the Grosse Gabler. Continue across the rocky terrain along the flat ridge to the third summit: the Grosse Gabler (2,575 m). From this main summit of the Plose, one is treated to a veritable Alpine wonderland: a 360° panoramic view. 

To return, head south along the mountain track on trail no. 7 to the mountain pasture trail (2,320 m) and then west following trail no. 14 to the Rossalm mountain hut (2,180 m), for a rest stop. From there, it is an easy hike to the mountain station of the gondola lift at Kreuztal.

From the parking area“SaltnerStein” continuing the indication to“Villandro Alp” and“Latschenweg – Mountain PineTrail.” Trail Nr. 24, then no.23 and no.15 until the Malga Marzuner.

The Eisacktal Valley Wine and Apple Trail (in German: Wein und Apfelweg) starts in the old quarter of Brixen. From the old lanes of Stufels/Stufles, follow the Wine Route along trail no. 10 to the sun-kissed vineyards above the town. After a 30 min hike, continue along trail no. 1 through the apple orchards on mostly even ground to Elvas. As it crosses the forest, the path gently rises and falls. Pass a few buildings that belonged to disused military barracks, before reaching the village of Natz. From Natz, the Apple Trail runs north before arriving at a viewing platform overlooking the deep Rienzschlucht gorge. Turn west and follow the trail to the settlement of Viums/Fiumes. Go past the next village and through the Sommersürs biotope. After the Flötscher Weiher pond the trail leads to Raas/Rasa.

Follow the gentle downhill path through the vineyards for about half an hour until you reach the Neustift Augustinian Canons Monastery. Follow the trail to the left of the Eisack river all the way back to Stufels.

From the Herrengarten (Hofgarten) garden adjoining the Bishop’s Palace (Hofburg), the seat of the Brixen Diocese, the circular walk leads over Domplatz square to the iron Adlerbrücke bridge. Passing the bridge to the right, the route leads to the Rappanlagen gardens, the green area of town. Named after Franz von Rapp, former Governor of Tyrol, the Rappanlagen were created in 1883 after the disastrous floods wreaked havoc in the town. As a countermeasure, the confluence of the Eisack and Rienz rivers was altered. 

From the gardens, proceed to the Widmannbrücke bridge where the Eisack and Rienz rivers meet and follow the left bank of the Eisack south to the Fish Farm/Lido, where there’s a pedestrian bridge. The Lido/Fish Farm recreational area consists of a lagoon, an aviary and a pen with small animals, which is very popular with children. 

Return north along the right bank of the Eisack to the Adlerbrücke bridge and the Acquarena adventure pool. From there the walk through the town passes the Altenmarktgasse alley to Großer Graben alley and through the Säbener Tor town gate back to the starting point.

Startin point of this walk is the parking lot next to the Altfass valley. From there we follow the forest road toward the Großberghütte (1.644 m). The path leads you through a beautiful mixed forest, right into the Altfass valley.

Along the first part of the path, is a so called Almkneipweg. You will encounter four Kneipp-stations where You can test the teaching of Sebastian Kneipp on Your own. Feeling the pavement under Your feet while You are walking barefoot, water treading, and exploring wild- and healing herbs – this walk is totally relaxing. The about 300m long facility is right next to the Großberghütte

The Großberghütte is reached after about 30 minutes of walk. It is a fantastic place for a small rest or refreshment.
