Around the mighty Sella Group there are four mountain passes: Gardena Pass, Campolongo Pass, Pordoi Pass and Sella Pass. A dream for mountain bikers and motorcyclists, for convertible drivers and mountain lovers, they are here in the middle of the Dolomites.

Two of them, the Gardena Pass and the Sella Pass, both of which exceed the 2,000 m mark, are located in Val Gardena and connect the valley with Val Badia and Val di Fassa respectively.

First thing in the morning, the idyllic Val di Fassa puts you in the perfect mood for the dance of curves in the Dolomites ahead of you.

The lively Trentino mountain village of Canazei opens your gateway to Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo today. Via Corvara you conquer the Grödnerjoch once again and swing through the Val Gardena and Tiersertal to the Niger and Karer Pass.

Via Fiè allo Sciliar we go to the Niger Pass and Karer Pass. From there we continue through Pozza in Fassa to the Pordoijoch. Via the beautiful village of Arabba and Cernadoi we head to the Falzarego Pass, which is steeped in history. The next destination is the Valparola Pass, over which we reach the Gardena Pass and on to Castelrotto.

For this tour, too, we first go over the Nigr Pass and then over the Karer Pass, to Pozza in Fassa and on to the Passo di San Pellegrino. From there, we go via Cencenighe and Agordo to Passo Duran. Via Frono di Zoldo, the route then climbs to Passo Cibiano and continues towards Cortina d’Ampezzo. From there, the Passo di Giau is our next destination. Passing Selva di Caore and Cernadoi, we ride to the Pordoi Pass and Sella Pass. From here, we then take a leisurely ride back to Klausen via the Val Gardena valley.

We start the tour in the direction of the Sella Pass. From there, we continue via Canazei and Moena to Passo San Pellegrino. Then the Passo Duran is our next destination. Over the Passo Cibiano we go to Cortina d’Ampezzo and further over the Paso Giau and Falzarego Pass. The Passo di Valparola and the Passo di Campolongo are our next destination. Via the Pordoioch we finally return to the Sella Pass and through the Gardena Valley back to Klausen and Villanders.

From Bolzano it goes to Auer, Kaltern and finally Eppan. The route first leads over the Mendel Pass and then over the Gampenjoch into the valley, then through the panoramic St. Pankraz. The tour then leads up to the Hofmahdjoch and over the Bezerjoch back to the Mendelpass.

Directly from Villanders you go to Ritten, where you can admire the earth pyramids. From there, the route goes up to the tourist and via the Val Sarentino road to Bolzano. From Bolzano, you then drive to Jenesien, Mölten and via Vöran to Meran. Once there, the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are one of the hot spots.

The return journey is via the MeBo to Bolzano and then via the state road or motorway to Chiusa.

This tour starts in Bolzano and goes first in the direction of Auer and Caldaro, up to the Mendel Pass. from there, we go via Fondo and Castelfodo to the Brezerjoch and Hofmahdjoch. We then cycle to Lana and via the MeBo back to Bolzano.

First we head towards Bolzano and up to Renon, where the earth pyramids are the highlight of this section. The Penserjoch lies in the middle of the Sarntal Alps. The ascent from the south is mostly from Bolzano through the Sarntal valley. The route from Bolzano over the Ritten and Wangen into the Sarntal is much more beautiful. More curves, better views – exactly what motorcyclists love. Our description starts in Sarnthein. The pass is almost unknown to car tourists and cannot compete with the Dolomite passes in terms of panorama. You see and hear a lot of motorcyclists, especially at weekends.

From here you go straight to the highest point of this unforgettable tour: the Penserjoch, at a whopping 2,211 metres. Due to the altitude and the weather conditions, however, the Penserjoch is only passable from May to November. The route continues through dark forests and past wide meadows via Sarnthein to Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol. Here, numerous restaurants and pubs invite you to take a well-deserved lunch break – enjoy the delicacies of the land.

At full throttle, the tour continues towards Merano (325 m) and from there to the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. The route then returns via the MeBo to Bolzano and on to Chiusa and Villandro.
