A special feature of our farm are our dwarf zebu. The somewhat strange mini cattle with humps are ideal landscape keepers and also taste good! The calves are born under the open sky and are supplied with milk by the mother cow. Our small herd with bull spends the winter months in the free-range barn above the farm on the Veralten-Schwaige. In summer, the mother cows and their calves are on the summer pasture below the Rosengarten near the Plafötsch-Alp and Haniger Schwaige. A visit is definitely worthwhile!
Our farm
Every day we try to do our best at our farm and create a wonderful place together.
Our farm is located on the sunny side of the valley between 1,100 and 1,200 metres above sea level. Our almost 3.5 hectares of meadows surround our farm and reach up to the adjacent forest. The forest consists of pine and spruce forest with individual deciduous trees. On the meadow area there are smaller groves with perennials that make an enormous contribution to biodiversity.
Since 2020, we have started the conversion to an organic farm and accordingly only use organic means for our farming. The meadows around the farm are a uniquely great bee pasture. Discover for yourself the numerous herbs and natural useful plants that grow on our farm and are staple food for our dwarf zebu!
