Take the path leading from the restaurant towards Tschafon until a narrow path forks off to the right. This path leads through the woods up the north face of the Völseggspitz until you get to the clearing with the Refuge Tschafonhütte hut. From the hut, it’s a short climb to the Völseggspitze summit with its outstanding views.

The way down leads out of the clearing in front of the hut to your right and down through the pine wood. Accompanied by the beautiful views over the Rosengarten and the Latemar, carry on down until you get to the Wuhnleger lake, with the Rosengarten reflected in its waters. Then along the tarred road, past the St. Sebastian Chapel and back to your set-off point.

From the Nigerpass, trail no. 7 leads along a forest path to Baumannschwaige hut. Shortly before turn off right, after a few steep hairpin bends, a path leads to a high mountain pasture and, always close to the tree line, with a beautiful view over Rosengarten, Latemar and Ortler massif to the Haniger Schwaige. From here you can go back the same way or descend to St. Zyprian Tiers.

Stage 1: The walk begins in the Weißlahnbad and leads through the wild, romantic Tschamintal valley and on to the Rechter Leger, a box-seat setting with views over the peaks of the Grasleitentürme and the Valbonkogel. Ascend through the Grasleiten Valley to the Refuge Grasleitenhütte mountain hut, the first stage destination of the mountain hut tour.

Stage 2: The next morning, the hut tour leads over a rocky glacier arena up the Molignonpass and on to the Refuge Tierser Alpl mountain hut, a wonderful spot for a midday rest. The terrain is flat to begin with, and becomes steeper as you ascend to the high plateau of the Schlern and on to the Refuge Schlernhaus mountain hut, the second stop of the tour.

Stage 3: If you climb up the Petz early in the morning on a clear day, you will witness a breathtakingly beautiful sunrise. The third and last stage of the tour leads you along the trail no. 1 down to the Seiser Alm.

The history trail begins at the parish church in Tiers am Rosengarten village centre. Across the meadow banks, the path initially leads out of the valley until you get to the deep trench below the southwest slope of the Cima del Monte Balzo/Völseggspitze. When you arrive at the former Burg Völsegg Castel, the trail turns in the opposite direction and leads on, partly through woodland and partly along the edge of the wood, to the Weißlahnbad. From here, make your way across meadows and cultivated land back to the set-off point.

The walk starts from Weißlahnbad and leads through the Tschamintal valley on path no. 3 until you get to the Rechter Leger. At the end of the Tschamin valley, take the trail north to the wild gully of the Bärenloch, an ascent which takes you over rocky scree and requires a sure foot. The trail then meets with the walking path from the Tierser Alpl to the Schlern. Take this trail to the high plateau and huts of the Schlern. From here, the tour leads down in sweeping curves to the St.Kassian Chapel (trail no. 2), over vast Alpine meadows to the Tschafatschsattel and on the Bärenfalle, a steep gully. The Bärenfalle stretch is exposed, and can get fairly breezy at times. The steep descent (trail no. 2) takes you back to the set-off point.  

The Ferrata starts up through a wide chimney which leads you to the wires and then down a metal ladder to a sandy scree slope. This spot is extremely exposed and requires an exceptional head for heights. Then head along a series of rocky shelves and up to the saddle, over a craggy strip of rock and the fairly exposed northern ridge, and up to the summit. The route down follows the ascent route.

As an alternative, you can make your descent down the secured trail on the eastern side along the iron ropes to the rocky strip that cuts through the eastern face of the Catinaccio d’Antermoia. The road leads on downhill and down two iron ladders to a saddle and over scree land to the Valle di Antermoia valley basin. Then head over the Antermoia Pass and back to the Passo Molignon.

The winter walk to the Rechter Leger begins in St. Zyprian. Make your way over the snowy Traunwiesen meadows to the entrance to the Tschamin Valley and on to the Schwarzen Lettn. The trail becomes narrower here as you head uphill to the Rechter Leger, an alpine meadow with incredible views over the Grasleitentürme towers and the Tschaminspitzen peaks. From here, cross the Tschamin River and head down the other side of the river and back to your set-off point.

The tour begins in St. Zyprian and leads over the Traunwiesen meadows up to the start of the Tschamin Valley. Carry on to the Rechter Leger, passing the Schwarzer Letten and Hoher Steg springs and the Schaferleger, a particularly beautiful spot to stop off for a break. If you turn off to the left just before the Leger, you will come to a waterfall. The return route leads along  the Tschaminbach river, onto the other side of the valley and back to your set-off point.
