From the centre of the village of Dorf Tirol (tourist information association) the route heads down the main street as far as the mini golf course. From here the Keschtngasse branches off from the main street; follow this road until it joins Gnaidweg. Continue to the right along Gnaidweg to the Thurner Schlössl castle. There turn right and head uphill for approx. 200 m along Thurnsteinstrasse. The suspension bridge on the left-hand side marks the entrance to the irrigation channel path. Hike along this path to the end. Turn round and follow the same route until the fork near the Grabbach.

At the Grabbach turn left and follow the path to the turn-off towards St. Peter. Turn off onto the Ochstentodweg trail towards St. Peter. From there the route leads to St. Peter and then back to the starting point in the centre of Dorf Tirol via Tirol Castle. 

The starting point of this impressive scenic route is the tourist information office. From here follow trail no. 26 to Tyrol Castle, then continue towards Vellau, past the Schneeweisshof snack station. Turn right along the Herrschaftsweg (no. 28). After approx. 1 km trail no. 23A heads left up the steps to Innerfarmerhof. Pass by the Ausserfarmerhof and follow the trail that winds below the Culinaria Restaurant/Farmerkreuz. Footpath no. 23B continues to the right, first through mixed forest and then through the orchards back to the village center.

Four new gorge scenes with four imposing constructions of corten steel integrated with nature were realized on behalf of the Laces-Val Martello Tourist Association and the municipality of Martello to present hikers this gorge with all its beauties. Hikers have the possibility to experience the gorge at close quarters for the first time. Thanks to comparatively small interventions the four constructions – trowel, panoramic crescent, observation pulpit and suspension bridge – give the visitors the possibility to have different special encounters with the gorge.

The starting and finishing point is at the parking area at the end of the valley, from there you go to the first vantage point, the “trowel”, visitors can climb down safe steps and experience the thunder of the water, the spray as well as the sides of finely polished rock faces from the edge of the trowel.The second vantage point, the “panoramic crescent”, offers an open panoramic view of the opposite mountain peaks, Rifugio Nino Corsi, towards Hotel Paradiso and out of the valley.

The fourth building at the end, the suspension bridge enables you to cross the gorge at a dizzy height between the two banks. The bridge is designed in a way that it can be principally used all around the year.   This is a direct connection to the “Rifugio Nino Corsi/Zufhüthütte”, to the dam, the “Bau”, now on the left side of the canyon until you come back to the parking lot.

The hike begins at the car park Schermoos. Take the E5, which leads directly to the Möltner Kaser. Take route no. 28 to the famous Omini di Pietra, and then the following paths no. 23 C and 23 to the Auerjoch. Continue along path no. 4, which takes you to the Kreuzjoch. When you are on your way back, you can go back to the Auerjoch. Here the hiking trail no. 4 continues and leads you directly back to the Möltner Kaser.

Take the cable car to the Hochmuth mountain hut. Trail no. 22 leads past Steinegg mountain hut  to the Mutkopf mountain hut, located at 1,684 m. The tour continues on forest trail no. 22/23 up over the ridge until the trail forks. Bear left and continue uphill on the undemanding trail no. 23 over the steep eastern ridge to the peak (2,295 m). This offers magnificent views of Meran and Environs, the nearby mountains of the Texelgruppe Nature Park, and the Passeiertal, Etschtal and Vinschgau valleys. Descend via the same trail. Sure-footedness is a must for this tour.
