This Alpine tour, classified as moderately difficult, leads from the foot of the Sella massif down to the Colfosco valley basin as far as Corvara and offers fantastic views of the Dolomites: from the Cir peaks to the Sassongher, from the Sas dla Crusc (Sasso di Santa Croce) to the Lavarela and from the Conturines to the Setsas.
Details

From the top station of the Vallon chairlift, a rough track leads south-westwards down to a hollow. From here the track goes uphill and then forks off to the left to the Ütia Franz Kostner hut (2,540 m).

Where trail no. 638 forks off to the right, you walk down across grassy slopes studded with rocks and through grassy hollows to the little Lech de Boé mountain lake. Now the trail leads eastwards across meadows down to the shoulder of the Crëp de Munt (2,198 m) and then continues north-eastwards on trails nos. 639 and 645 along a ridge (a ski track) steeply down to a flatter area. Then trail no. 645 takes you down northwards through the forest to a fork in the trail in the Gran Val valley. Keeping left on trail no. 645, walk across the wooded slopes of the Col de Cedla and then up to the shoulder of the Col da Giai. Then there is an easy descent (about five minutes) down to the saddle in front of the Crëp de Sela (1,867 m). Continuing on trail no. 645, go down through the forest – heading north-west – to a fork and then steeply down to the right (north) to the Rio Pisciadú stream in the Colfosco valley floor. From Colfosco, a wide, easy trail (Percorso Borest) leads to Corvara.

Warning: Since the hike goes mainly downhill, it can be tough on the knees.
