Every farm has its history.

The Nösslerhof is characterized by a history that goes back centuries…
The name “Nössler” comes from the nettle plant (“Nessel” in German), which probably grew in large quantities around the farm.

Over the years, the farm was passed on to different owners.
Since 1902 the farm has been owned by the Zingerle family, now in the fourth generation.

In 2006, Georg took over the farm from his parents Marlene and Johann.

The Nösslerhof comprises five hectares of field and 38 hectares of forest.

The farm also includes an alpine pasture, located at 1,800 meters above sea level. It can be reached from the farm in just under two hours. Our young cattle spend a full three months in summer there and enjoy the best mountain pasture. The alp is not actively managed and thus offers a lot of peace and relaxation in solitude.

Our cows are milked twice a day and give us the precious hay milk.

Most of it is delivered to the local dairy factory which produces cheese, yoghurt, butter, etc.
Our calves and cows are of the typical local breed “Simentaler”.

The pigs provide us with the special homemade bacon.
They squeal happily to themselves, especially when there’s food.

The three goats are adventurers…
At first they are a bit shy, but they usually get used to our guests quickly and also like to be fed.
