Starting point is the parking lot “Kaiserau” in Klobenstein, below the station of the “Rittner Bahndl”, the narrow-gauge railroad that has been operating on the Rittner plateau since 1907.

We cross the station bridge and reach the crossroads at the “Rittner Stube”, there we follow the road signs in the direction of “Pemmern” until a hairpin bend (after about 300 m) and follow the mark. 33A. We cross the road and go back a little bit to the entrance of a narrow road on which we continue our tour over the Finsterbach further to Maria Saal with the pilgrimage church with the interesting fresco of the Madonna with the umbrella. (Note the hiking trail 24 from Lengmoos through the Erdpyramidental is only allowed for pedestrians).

In moderate gradient we master the ascent to “Bad Siess” and then follow the gravel path to the “Tann”. Here, in addition to a breathtaking view, we also treat ourselves to the rapid descent to Klobenstein.
