From Vadena/Pfatten to the Monticolo Lakes
Laives, Bolzano & Environs
Description
A very nice hike, passing throught the woods over the Monte di Mezzo/Mitterberg, up to the Montiggler Lakes.
Details

From the Vadena/Pfatten Town Hall, the hiking trail leads left through deciduous forests up to the ridge of the Monte di mezzo/Mitterberg mountain (560 m), which can be reached after about 40 minutes. You walk on along the forest path, which crosses the forest in a few loops and flows into an asphalted road leading to the lakes. At the end of the large Monticolo lake, a forest path branches off to the right, which leads to the crest of the forest in a few minutes. From there, the hiking trail takes about 20 minutes to reach the Maier farms in Vadena/Pfatten. On the way very nice viewpoints. From the farms it takes 15 minutes to get back on the street to the starting point.
