This medium-level hike starts in the hamlet of Gereuth at the Perlungerhof parking area (1,380 m), on the Pfeffersberg mountain above Brixen/Bressanone. Trail no. 8 leads past a small chapel, then along the forest path (which also functions as a sled run in winter) for a short distance before rising up a moderately steep incline through a magnificent pine forest. Keep right at the intersection (1,771 m) and start the steep climb to the Hundskopf mountain (2,352 m). At the Hundskopf enjoy the panorama from the convenient bench provided, before resuming the short hike west (approx. 10 min) to the popular Radlseehütte (2,284 m), belonging to the South Tyrolean Alpine Club (AVS) and to the Radlsee (2,255 m) just next to it. To return, follow trail no. 8 from the hut to the lower Rossboden good cable lift station. Keep left and go down through the forest to the Tannefrit-Kreuz cross. At the intersection with the ascending track, turn right before reaching the forest path, and continue on a leisurely walk to the parking area at the Perlungerhof farm.
