The Sella group is the massive which divides and at the same time joins togheter four valleys: Val Gardena, Val Badia, Val di Fassa and Arabba. The Sella group is composed of two large platforms, imposing walls and towers that rise high towards the sky. Starting from one end the excursion will lead you to the other end. You will reach the highest point called Piz Boè from where you will be amazed of the view.

 

Details

From Selva Gardena you reach the Passo Pordoi by bus 471. Here you can take the Sass Pordoi cable car to the saddle, from where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The hike continues in the direction of Piz Boè (no. 627). The ascent to the top is facilitated by a secured path (no. 638), but requires sure-footedness. Arrived at the highest point, the hike goes in the direction of Boè hut. From here continue along path 666 to reach the Pisciadù hut. Right next to the Pisciadù hut there is a turquoise mountain lake. The descent also requires sure-footedness and a head for heights, always along path 666. The path is well signposted and secured in dangerous places by steel ropes. The signs lead back to the Passo Gardena from where you can take the bus to get back to Selva Gardena.
