The leisurely family hike to the Stadl Alm hut via the “Templweg” trail through the “Karerwald” forest is worth it for the magnificent view of the Dolomite mountains Rosengarten and Latemar.
Once there, many farm animals, a playground and meals made from seasonal and farm products await young and old.
Details

This cozy woodland walk starts from the car park at Lake Carezza (1519 m), underpass to the lake, turn right along the lake until the Templ path [8]. Follow the trail [8] to the turnoff for the Stadl Alm hut. The trails [25A] and [25] lead to the pasture with playground, petting zoo and a sun lawn. Return to Lake Carezza at the same route. The walk is feasible even with buggy.

Approach

Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to the Lake Carezza (about 30 min. from highway toll booth).

After you have paid at the pay machine, you have 15 minutes to leave the parking lot.
