From Giggelberg to the Tablander Alm
Naturno, Merano & Surroundings
Description
This hike takes place in the area of the Texel Group Nature Park. A special feature during the descent is certainly the view of the Parcines waterfall, which lets the water masses of the Zielbach stream plunge almost 100 meters into the depth.
Details

With the public bus you can reach the valley station of the Texelbahn in Partschins. With the cable car, you float from the valley up to the Merano High Altitude Trail at 1,500 m. From the top station, the hike runs relatively flat on the Merano High Altitude Trail No. 24 into the Zieltal valley to the Nasereit refuge. A little above the hut there is a colony of marmots whose whistles can be heard from far away. The trail continues on a constant, moderate gradient up to the idyllically situated and recently renovated Tablander Alm. From the Tablander Alm, you return on the ascent path to the Nasereit refuge and via the Höhenweg back to the starting point at the Texelbahn top station. Alternatively, you can start from the Nasereit Refuge via path no. 8 and descend further down via trail 8b to the Wasserfall Inn or Birch Forest ( Descent approx. 500 Tm). You can return to the Texelbahn from one of the two inns by bus 265 and from there by bus 266 to Naturns.
