Description
The ski tour from Ridnaun/Ridanna valley to the Ratschinger Kreuz summit is a simple to medium ski tour along a northern slope with mostly beautiful powder snow. Technical skiing grade: easy.Alpine grade: none.Maps: Tabacco No. 038, Kompass No. 44.
Details

From the car park over the easy slopes to the entrance of the side valley Valtigltal. Follow the forest road along the side valley to the Valtiglalm mountain hut and in switchbacks upwards to the Obere Entholzalm mountain hut. Keeping left of the hut upwards to the Ratschinger Joch joke and from there on the left side to the peak (2424 m).

Approach

From the A22 motorway exit in Sterzing/Vipiteno in direction Stange/Stanghe and further into the Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna. In the high valley to the Ried hamlet and parking near the bridge (or continue into the Valtigltal valley to another bridge with limited parking).
