This extremely long and demanding route over gravel and mountain tracks takes you through the whole of the southern lands of the Seiser Alm, with unique views over the velvety Alpine meadows and rocky mountain landscape to reward you for your efforts.
Details

The loop route begins at the mountain station of the Panorama chairlift and takes you past Goldknopf, the Almrosenhütte hut and the Refuge Mahlknechthütte mountain hut up to the Dialer Chapel. Then head on eastwards to the Stampfeter Schwaige farm, down towards Saltria, through the Spiegelwald wood, past the Lanziner Schwaige hut and back to your set-off point.

Approach

The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00am to 5.00pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm cable car from Seisi or by bus from Kastelruth. You can descend from Compatsch at any time.
