Description
This  beautiful moderate tour leads us directly to the Naserhof Hut.
Details

Starting point is the car park next to the cable  car Hirzer. We cycle downhill towards the cycle path Passerweg and turn left in the direction of St. Leonhard/ S. Leonardo. After about 6 km, we reach a bridge, which we cross.

You will reach the main road next to a sawmill and follow the street for about 400m towards Merano. As soon as You reach the junction, turn right into the Kalmtalstraße and cycle uphill until You reach the mountain village Magdfeld. Thereafter, follow the  forest road towards the Naserhof Hut. Take the same path for Your return journey.

Approach

Over the Reschen Pass – passo Resia

Drive along national highway SS 38 until you get to Meran-Merano and then follow signs for Passeier Valley / val Passiria and Saltaus/Saltusio.

Over the Brenner Pass – passo del Brennero

You have two options:

  1. Exit motorway A22 in Sterzing/Vipiteno and take the historical road over Jaufen Pass / passo Giovo, then follow signs for Meran/Merano until you get to Saltaus/Saltusio.
  2. Drive along motorway A22 until you get to Bozen/Bolzano and take highway SS38 to Meran/Merano. From there, follow signs for Passeier Valley / val Passiria and Saltaus/Saltusio.
