Details

From the cable there is a well-marked path, at first rising, which takes you northwards, on the border of the forest. After a small hut on the west hillside of the Schönjöchl you will cross the Trametsch ditch.

Continuing on the same path, you will cross other ditches and rocks until you reach the Ochsenalm. The steep hillsides are filled with Alpine roses (they flower end of June until mid July). The view is fantastic! On a good weather day the sight reaches Sarntal’ s mountains, the Stubeier and Pfunderer mountains, and even Zillertaler’ s Alps.

Restaurants on the way: Right next to the top station of the top station of the gondola lift, there is the Restaurant La Finestra. At the end of the Brixen High Level Path you get to the Ochsenalm, a traditional mountain inn that offers simple dishes, based on regional recipes.

Approach

With the car from Bressanone-Brixen in the direction of St.Andrä -S.Andrea and further to the station of the cable car toward Kreuztal-Val di Croce.

The bus line 321 takes You directly to the station.
