“Viles”, as the hamlets are called in Ladin, are traditional rural settlements. The ancient houses, hay storage, ovens, fountains and paths today consist largely in the original form. “Les Viles” are a tangible picture of the past as well as the present, as they are still inhabited today. Two particularly beautiful trails to get to know the Viles on foot can be found in Lungiarü and Pieve di Marebbe.
