The Monto Corno nature park comprises, with a surface of 6.851 hectare, the villages Altrei/Anterivo, Montan/Montagna, Salorno/Salurn and Truden/Trodena. It is bordering at the north on Val di Fiemme, at the southeast on Val di Cembra and at the west on Etschtal/Val d’Adige from Neumarkt/Egna to the Chiusa di Salorno/Salurner Klause. The name originates from the Trudner Horn/Monte Corno, a mountain belonging to the Alps of the Val di Fiemme. Due to its sub-Mediterranean climate zone, it is a protected area for the biggest fauna and flora of South Tyrol.
