You are standing in front of the old Kalditsch/Doladizza train station of the old Val di Fiemme railway track. The workers who were responsible for the building of the railway were quartered in several buildings around the station. The Loreto Chapel nearby belongs to the “Rothenhof”. The consecration of the chapel was in 1702 on 22 September. The celebration of the patronage day is every year on the first Sunday after the 21 September. The picture above the high altar is an artwork created by Giuseppe Alberti. The epigraph on the chapel’s roof represents a Marian monogram.
