The convent in S. Florian was built in the 13th century. In the past it was famous for its hospitality to pilgrims. Nowadays it’s one of the best preserved pilgrim hospices in Europe. Also the great german artist Albrecht Dürer is supposed to have stayed in the hopice on his first journey to Venice. During summer there take place a lot of cultural events.
