Only one hour by car from Lana, the Dolomites (UNESCO World Natural Heritage site) tower over the east of the region. To the north of Lana and Merano is the wild Texelgruppe mountain range, a genuine climbers paradise, whilst in the west is the Stilfserjoch National Park with the high Ortlergruppe range.
Alongside a large network of hiking and mountain trails, there are also countless alpine via ferrata and genuine highlights for real climbers: from leisure climbers on exposed rocky ridges of level 3 and 4 difficulty and challenging hikes up to level 6 on the Hohe Weisse in the Texelgruppe Nature Park through to the varied climbing wall at St. Hippolyt above Lana and an extraordinary climb at the 90 m tall waterfall above Parcines.
Seek advice from local mountain guides and undertake a challenging expedition in the pristine alpine world of the South Tyrolean Alps.
