This short hike to the Zuegg Hütte Mountain Hut on Meran 2000 is particular appealing to families and is a good introductory holiday hike.
Details

The route starts at the Falzeben parking area in Hafling/Avelengo. From there, it ascends slightly along trail no. 14, taking about 35 minutes to reach the Zuegg Hütte Mountain Hut. The mountain hut has a large playground.

Tip: Below Zuegg Hütte Mountain Hut, there is a little pond where you can watch the ducks and frogs.

Approach

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano – Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo. Shortly before Hafling Dorf/Avelengo Paese turn left towards Falzeben.
