This leisurely, sunny, winter walking tour leading from Seis to Kastelruth boasts beautiful views over the villages at the foot of the Schlern, the picturesque St. Valentine chapel and the imposing Schlern massif with the Santner peak.

Beginning in Seis village centre, take path no. 7 (on the right side after the post office) towards St. Valentin and, after a short stop-off at the St. Valentin church, follow the trail across the Seiser Alm road, past the farmer graveyard from the days of the plague and on to the shrine of the Madonna and the signpost for trail no. 6. Head onwards to the “Schererplatzl” clearing and through meadows to Kastelruth. Return along the same route or by bus.Also recommended in the opposite direction, beginning in Kastelruth

To Seis: Line 4 (Ortisei/St. Ulrich), Line 3 (Seiser Alm cable car), Line 5 (St. Valentin, Trotz), Line 15 (Bad Ratzes), Interurban bus 170 (Brixen or Bozen, Völs).
