From the mountain station of the cable car Laurin I or the car park at the Frommer Alm, the hiking trail [1A] starts, which leads at the foot of the Rosengarten/Catinaccio below the street Via Nigra.

Trail [1A] leads below the road Via Nigra along the foot of the Rosengarten/Catinaccio and after a short section along the road you reach the Ochsenhütte.Walking time there and back: approx. 2 hours

Approach

Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante (about 20 min. from highway toll booth).
