The hike starts from the Gasthof Panorama (parking area Fortress „Mitterberg“) and leads past the Fortress „Mitterberg“ via a forest road to the Rifugio Pendio Monte Elmo/Helmhanghütte (approx. 30 min). The hike is suitable for families with children and can be drive on with the buggy (recommended: buggy with large wheels).
