In Tesido follow the village road up towards the parish church and the Hotel Alpen Tesitin. Take a right turn to “Guggenberg” and follow the forest road to the next junction. At the junction turn left, drive past the the mountain restaurant Mudler (1622m, refreshment point) and, after a narrow right turn, arrive at a large parking area. That is the starting point for the hiking tour. Follow the trail sign no. 38A in order to arrive at the Taistner Vorderalm (2012m, refreshment point). A major highlight of this trail are the recurring panoramic views on the Dolomites.

 

Approach

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. To get to Tesido, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo. Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo. To get to Tesido, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.
