Start from the village center of Deutschnofen on Trail [E5,1] and proceed to the Wölflhof. Continue along the Forest Trail [1] until you come to the “Totes Moos”, a protected biotope. From there, follow the marked Trail [1A] until you come to Rotenstein and for another 1km until you arrive at the Rotwand. The return trip is the same way, in reverse order.
On the Brenner (A 22 Brenner autobahn – toll), take the Bozen Nord/Eggental (Eggen Valley) autobahn exit and proceed approx. 0.5 km towards Bozen/Bolzano. At the roundabout, turn left into the Eggen Valley (SS 241). Continue along the Dolomites Road until you come to Birchabruck. There, turn right and proceed to Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente (30 minutes from the Bozen Nord/Eggental autobahn exit).
