Starting from the sports area in Antholz Mittertal turn left on the Egger farms and follow the forest road in direction Kumpflalm. There take the forest road Nr. 6b, which leads very soon to a path in the woods. Crossing the Wanzlstream you reach the Ochsenalm 2.070m on a quiet steep path (not open).
Return on the usual path or go ahead to the Grentealm hut 2.002m and return on the path no. 6 to Antholz Mittertal.
