The starting point is the pretty village centre of Ega/Eggen (1,120 m). Trail no. 7A leads past the Grotthof farm and trail S to the Häusler Sam tavern, a worthwhile place to call in for refreshments. Häusler Sam’s magnificent location invites hikers to rest and relax. Return via hiking trail no. 8 to the Bewallerhof hotel and on trail nos. 8B and 10 straight back to the village of Ega.
