Alpe di Villandro is an extended high alpine pasture above the locality of Villandro. This alpine meadow is characterised by lush green meadows, moors, lakes and grass-covered hills. Numerous refuges are spread all over, offering traditional delicacies and a great place for a rest and having a cool drink.

Details

From the park, take trail no. 6 through Mair in Plun and the Pfroder Alm until you get to the Totenkirch Church. From here, stay on trail 6 in the direction of the Schwarzsee Lake and Moar in Ums where aou switch to trail 16B, which takes you to Prackfiederer Jöchl. Take trail 16 and then 16B past the Marzuner Schupfe. Trail no. 15 takes you back to Mair in Plun, where you switch almost immediately to trail 23. This takes you to the Rinderplatz mountain refuge hut. Follow trails 23 and 24 back to the Gasser mountain refuge hut.

Approach

From Klausen to Villanders follow the street to the alps since the parking area Saltnerstein (Gasser Hütte).
