Alpine ski tour from Gossensass/Colle Isarco along the organic certified Hühnerspielhütte/Cima  Gallina mountain hut to the panoramic view on the Amthorspitze/ Cima Amthor summit. Especially the long slope of the former skiing area up to the summit offers perfect touring slopes.

Details

From the parking lot follow the winter path and toboggan run. At the crossroads furtheron and soon after follow the summer trail at the left side up through the forest. Crossing the toboggan run you will reach the old downhill slope of the former skiing area.. Above the hut follow the long slope at a constant incline to the former mountain station and to the antennas of the former NATO base. Passing by and along the ridge in eastern direction to the summit of the Amthorspitze (2.748m).

Approach

From Brennero/Brenner along Terme di Brennero/Brennerbad in direction Colle Isarco/Gossensass and at the first turn at Pontigl before Colle Isarco/Gossensass tunr left and on the small mountain road (sign “Hühnerspielhütte”) 600 m to the parking lot. From Vipiteno/Sterzing through Colle Isarco/Gossensass to Pontigl and at the second turn right over the mountain road 600m to the car park.
