Among the new attractions of the Watles ski area is the ski cross track. The course winds for almost two kilometers along stairs, wu-tang, roller, jump and bank stages towards the finish. Several racing teams from all over the world have come here to develop technique and speed in preparation for the FIS and European Cup competitions. Preparations for the Winter Olympics in Sochi were also held at Watles. Outside of training times and races, the ski cross track is open to families and children and is particularly popular for its variety and accessibility.
