The 12km long route is not challenging on a technical level, but with over 500 metres of altitude and difference to cover and two runs up to the Völsegger Bild shrine, you do need to be in good shape. When you come to the Völsegger Bild shrine and the Schönblick restaurant, the route leads downhill towards the Tiers valley. This is the lowest point of the route. You then take a forest road up to the Schnaggenkreuz, where you can stop for a break on the lush, velvety meadows. You then take the beautiful forest trail back to the Völsegger Bild shrine once again and, from here, follow the outward tarred road back to Tiers.
