The starting point of this snowshoe hike is the Sulden cable car valley station. After riding the gondola lift up to the middle station at 2,200 m, you begin your foot march towards Madritsch and the glacier snout. The ice cave, which can be crossed wearing snowshoes, offers a unique and spectacular experience of colour and sound. Having reached the glacier snout, you should continue on towards the Suldengletscher glacier until you reach the Schaubachhütte mountain hut (2,581 m).
