A light but impressive snowshoe hike at Geiselsberger Hinterberg. Start of the hike is at the valley station Gassl with the possibility for free parking. From here it goes still without snowshoes to Bad Bergfall to the first bridge. From the access road leading to the “Erschbaum-Hof” you will pass a small wooden bridge, along an old fence, uphill over the meadows to the “Bigraber-Hof”. There we cross the road leading to “Bad Berfall”. Continue past the “Kirchsteig” above the “Oberlechner-Hof” (Hotel Lenz) to the deer park. As soon as we see the “Unterrainerhof”, turn right up to a small larch forest below the valley station Marchner; Along the fence (mark) turn left to the “Gruns farm” and from there continue over the free meadows or the access road to the “Trattes” farmhouse, where you have the possibility to stop. From there, through a romantic but safe canyon down to the “sulfur bath” and then to Bad Bergfall. From here, without snowshoes, along the Furkel brook back to the starting point. Depending on the condition of the snow, some icy spots may be present.
