From Saltria, the run leads to the Hotel Tirler, the end of the run. The uphill stretch is both a sledge run and a walking route, and leads up through a thick pine wood to the Refuge Mahlknechthütte mountain hut and the set-off point for the downhill run to Saltria, in an ever-changing play of light and shade. A night-time sledging outing when the full moon is shining over the Seiser Alm is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience. And if you’d prefer to avoid the walk up, a snow-cat is on hand to take you to the Refuge Mahlknechthütte mountain hut.
