The Schildhöfeweg trail (Schildhöfe are typical farms of Val Passiria/Passeiertal Valley) starts at the Saltauserhof farm in Saltusio. The old valley trail leads through the woods to Haupold farm before reaching Granstein farm. Along the way, there are info stations on subjects ranging from the chestnut groves, the forest, Cardinal Haller and the Passeier Valley Tribunal. After the final 2 km stretch from Granstein farm, the route leads back to the starting point along the Passer river causeway.

In winter some sections of the route may be covered in snow or ice.

The trail is not suitable for pushchairs.
