From the Latemar forest you can reach to the popular rock labyrinth which acquired its name from the house-sized rocks that fell during a massive landslide from the Latemar mountain long ago.
A spectacular and varied hike, especially interesting for children, awaits you through rock tunnels and over stone stairs. Every few minutes a new special rock formation is waiting to be discovered.

Details

The route starts at the Passo Costalunga (1752 m) and follows path [17] to the Latemar meadows (1861 m). Once you reach the mountain cinema, path [18A] and path [18] lead slightly downhill to the entrance of the labyrinth path. On the labyrinth path, path [20], after about 1 hour you reach the Radura di Mezzo (1839 m), from where you can reach the starting point Passo Costalunga via path [21].

Approach

Take highway’s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to the Passo Costalunga (about 30 min. from highway toll booth).
