The fountain of life of Martin Rainer at the cathedral square of Brixen represents the life cycle. The spiral-shaped bronze sculptures symbolise the different phases of life: in birth we emerge and in death we return into the hand of God. The cycle of life is surrounded by water, the element of life and symbol of movement and “being in constant flux”.
