The Meran Waalrunde hugs the Meran/o basin and allows hikers to leisurely circumnavigate the Meran/o area in several stages and days on an 80 km long trail.
The entire route is divided into eight daily stages, and bears the designation “Meraner Waalrunde”. Each stage is also possible in individual day tours.
The trail connects eleven irrigation channel, on which you will encounter irrigation channel huts and irrigation channel bells, but also castles, churches and natural monuments.
The Waal trails lie slightly above the valley at an altitude of approx. 400 to max. 900 metres.
It is also possible to enjoy individual sections in a day tour (see Waalwege hiking suggestions).
