The Wurzer Alm Mountain Hut, at an elevation of 1,707 metres, is the starting point of the Mountain Pass Tour. The trail no. 2 leads over the Vöraner Joch pass (1,941m) to Auenjoch (1,924m). The Auenjoch is a starting point of many excursions. To get back follow the route no. 11 and 2A to the starting point.
CComing from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano – Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street until the parking lot in Hafling Dorf/Avelengo paese (below the parish church). The way no. 2 or 2A leads up to the Wurzer Alm Mountain Hut (only on foot).
