Stage 1: The walk begins at the Hotel Bad Ratzes. Shortly afterwards, the trail leads over the Frötschbach followed by a series of bends up the steep woodland slope to the Schlernbödele mountain hut, the first stop of the tour.

Stage 2: The tour leads along trail no. 1, through the wild Valle del Frötschbachtal valley to the Prossliner Schwaige hut, and from there, over Alpine meadows down to Compatsch, where you pass by the mountain station of the Seiser Alm cable car and make your way onwards to the Dibaita Puflatschhütte hut.

Stage 3: Day 3 of the hut tour is a loop tour of the Puflatsch. The loop route leads to the Refuge Arnika hut and past the Goller Cross viewpoint to the fairytale Witches’ Benches. Pass by the Fillner Cross and proceed to the Engelsrast (Angels‘ Rest), where you can enjoy a 360° panorama of the surrounding mountains. The route then leads past the Gasthof Puflatsch and back to Compatsch.
