After the cable car ride to the Vigiljoch, the hike begins at the mountain station at 1,450 meters a.s.l. Trail no. 34 leads to the small Church of St. Vigilius, the highest point on this hike.
From here trail no. 9 leads to the lake Schwarze Lacke habitat. Following the signposts for trail no. 7 the route then leads via a lovely panoramic trail to path no. 34 back to the mountain station.
