The starting point of this hike is the parking lot in front of the restaurant “Grüner Baum”. From there you can reach the car park Schermoos via a varied route. From there we head for the circular route Langfenn, which leads directly to the eponymous. Worth a look here is the little church St Jakob.

This Romanesque church on Langfenn lies on the most visible and highest point of the plateau Salten (1525m).It stands on prehistoric soil and could probably tell a lot of exciting and historic stories from past years. On the altar we can see Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers, the two plague patrons Rochus and Sebastian aside.

The hike starts at the parking place “Grüner Baum”, just before the village Verano. Here you have to hike always along path no. 1 until you reach the parking place Schermoos. Here, too, follow the path no. 1 to Langfenn, along the Langfenn trail.

Optionally you can extend the hike and finish the the circular route Langfenn, which would lead you back to the parking space Schermoos (about 1 – 1,5 h).
