From the parish church in Gais you cross the Ahr bridge and go eastwards, where a sign indicates the trail. Continuing along the same road, pass between the houses northeasterly direction to the forest until you come to the beginning of the trail (from the Ahr bridge about 20 minutes walk). Along the flat trail you pass through steep forest hills until you reach the end of the path that leads, a bit further north of the Bärental farm, into a large farm road. The Trail has a length of approx. 1.5 km. Here you turn immediately to the right, along the farm road you walk slightly descending among meadows and fields to the starting point of the trail.
