Nice mountain hike with great views over the Puster Valley and the mountains of the Rieserferner-Ahrn nature park. Suitable for trained mountain hikers; Surefootedness is required. For well trained mountaineers; surefootedness is required.
Starting point is the car park in Oberwielenbach/Vila di Sopra. From there follow the signpost “Gönner Alp Hut” to the right, continue on the marking no. 6 on the footpath and later on the forest path up to the Gönner Alp Hut (1,975 m, from the starting point 1:30 hours). On trail no. 6 a bit still through the forest up, then over grassy slopes partly slightly uphill, partly just on the ridge north and finally on the south ridge (always marked trail) easily up to the summit (2,484 m, from Gönner Alp Hut about 2 hours).
