The Hotel Sambergerhof (1,530 m) is located on the Almstraße. You can get here by car or with the free hiking bus or from Villanders via the hamlet of Kranewitt and the hiking trail via the hamlet of Kranewitt and hiking trail no. 7 for about 2 hours. Immediately behind the Sambergerhof the forest path, on which you hike for half an hour until you reach small wooden huts (Wiedner Bench). From here, a marked forest trail leads to the Pfunderer Wetterkreuz on the right and then then steeply down to the upper tunnels of the former copper mine. The way back is via the the forest road that runs there and leads back to the alpine road at the Zildererhof farm. After about 30 minutes you return to the Sambergerhof.

Note: On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays there are guided tours of the Pfunder mine at 10.00 a.m. the Pfunderer mine at 10 a.m.
