Details

Starting point of this tour is the Marling Tourist Office. We ride on the irrigation channel and path no.33 towards Gasthof Tschigg. Then, we follow the forest path no. 31 to the Almboden junction and from here we cycle on path no. 9 to the Seespitz inn.

Thereafter, the uphill is barely noticeable and about 1.3 km later we reach the little church of St. Vigilius , the highest point of our tour. The small church is located at 1793 m, making it one of the highest mountain sanctuaries in South Tyrol. Inside there are frescoes from the 14th century.

After a short break, the downhill is waiting for us. We bike on trails no. 9 and 29 to Mahlbach and on to Gasthof Bründl, where we either come back to Marling via Senn am Berg or via Gasthof Grammegg.
