The name “Marantha” is arameic, Jesus’ mother-tongue, and means “Our Lord may come”. This does not refer to Jesus, but the museum wants to help the people understand Jesus’ arrival in a deeper way and this not only at Christmas.

On two floors there are mangers of every kind, from the Tyrolen Peasant manger, the Sicilian Terracotta manger to contemporary representations. All scenes are with handpainted backgrounds and a unique scenery. Life-size wood figures and masterpieces of the traditional wood craft and artificial art are underlined by light and sound.
